What is PCAB?

In 2007, eight of the nation's leading pharmacy organizations created a professional accreditation standard for sterile and non-sterile pharmaceutical compounding.
The Pharmacy Compounding Accreditation Board (PCAB) inspects pharmacy operations according to United States Pharmacopeia (USP) guidelines that require uniformity, quality and safety of compounded medications. The accreditation process involves extensive review of compounding policies and procedures through a rigorous onsite audit to verify consistent practices that increase product safety, efficiency and quality of care.
This is the highest level of compounding distinction in pharmacy and reaffirms our commitment to using proven and tested formulations, crafted by highly skilled professionals in the most state-of-the-art clean environments, and using only verified ingredients. As the sole veterinary-exclusive pharmacy here in North Carolina, we are proud to achieve this accreditation in service for the veterinary community.
